Wizardi DIY Wool Craft Kit F07N8-W501

This kit felts a seated capybara with the animal's signature flat snout, stocky rounded body, and calm, half-lidded expression, built up in warm golden-tan wool with a black bead nose and dark felted paw-tips. A pair of round wire-frame glasses perches on its face, and a small orange wool tuft sits on top of its head, adding a quirky, bookish character to the otherwise laid-back pose. A soft white patch felted onto its chest breaks up the tan coloring.

Why this kit: a distinctive, currently popular animal subject that stands out from more common cat and dog felting kits; a bespectacled, bookish look that gives the finished figure real personality beyond a plain animal likeness; pre-colored tan and cream wool roving that keeps the coloring consistent without extra blending.

Kit includes: pre-colored wool roving in tan, cream, and black tones, one or more felting needles, a foam mat, and illustrated step-by-step instructions. Dimensions: 7.5 x 4.3 x 6.5 cm / 2.95 x 1.69 x 2.55 in.

Small tufts of tan wool are layered and repeatedly poked with a barbed felting needle, which tangles the fibers together and gradually compacts and shapes them into a firm 3D form. The body, snout, and chest patch are worked section by section, with the glasses and head tuft added last, following the included instructions.

A fun, conversation-starting project for anyone who loves capybaras or wants a felted animal that's a step outside the usual cats, dogs, and bears.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1098/7582/2931/files/501_c59cf4c9-2f26-40c6-9278-b27fac33b201.jpg?v=1787754339
