However, this is not inevitable—it often results from incorrect application. As with any design, following the steps precisely is key.   Application Method:   Perform standard nail plate preparation.   Apply a base or gel layer and cure in a lamp for 120 seconds.   Apply a base color coat of your choice for the powder. This can be any shade, even nude or clear. Cure in a lamp for 90 seconds.   Apply a no-wipe top coat and cure for 60 seconds, or cleanse the surface and rub in the powder.  If applying directly over the top coat, rub the chrome powder in immediately while the top coat is still warm using an applicator or finger.
